Appointment to Canada Lands Company Limited

OTTAWA — The Honourable Lawrence Cannon, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, today announced the appointment of Mr. Wayne B. MacIntosh to the board of directors of the Canada Lands Company Limited for a term of four years.

"I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. MacIntosh to the board of directors of Canada Lands," said Minister Cannon. "His extensive experience in financial management services, human resources and business management will be an asset for the company."

Mr. MacIntosh, a chartered accountant, is currently Chief Operating Officer of Cape Breton Casting, an aluminium die-cast auto parts manufacturer located in North Sydney, Cape Breton. Prior to working at Cape Breton Casting, he was Director of Financial Management Services for the Cape Breton YMCA for three years after being a partner at Grant Thornton, Sydney and Port Hawkesbury in Nova Scotia for almost 20 years.

Canada Lands Company Limited is a Crown corporation created by the Government of Canada with a mandate to ensure the commercially oriented, orderly disposition of selected surplus federal real properties with optimal financial and community values to Canadians, and the holding of certain properties.
