VIEW THE FOUR CONCEPTS AND PARTICIPATE IN AN ONLINE ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITY FROM FEBRUARY 11 TO 27, 2022
From February 11 to 27, the public is invited to complete a detailed online questionnaire and react to four draft concepts that were developed to reintegrate this site into the community through a mix of housing, retail, open space, and amenities, in line with the redevelopment’s guiding principles.
Before you fill out the questionnaire, please download our presentation and watch our 25-minute video to understand how the concepts were developed and why elements like a potential school site, stormwater facilities, a heritage campus, and development areas were included in all of them.
NEXT STEPS - A MASTER PLAN FOR 1495 HERON ROAD
Based on the public’s feedback on the draft concepts, Canada Lands will develop a “preferred concept” for the redevelopment of 1495 Heron Road. This concept will form the basis of the site’s master plan.
The master plan will outline how the available land will be used, what buildings will be built or removed, heritage and commemoration elements, servicing and infrastructure, as well as guidelines for architectural and landscape design, and the inclusion of public spaces and amenities for the broader community.
Stay tuned for information on how you can provide input into this preferred concept!
