Reappointment to Canada Lands Company Limited
GATINEAU, Québec, October 31, 2011 – The Honourable Rona Ambrose, Minister of Public Works and Government Services and Minister for Status of Women, today announced the reappointment of Mr. Wayne B. MacIntosh to the board of directors of Canada Lands Company Limited for a term of four years.
“I am pleased to announce the reappointment of Mr. MacIntosh to the board of directors of Canada Lands,” said Minister Ambrose. “His extensive experience in financial management services, human resources and business management is an asset to the board.”
Mr. MacIntosh, a chartered accountant currently living in Saint John, New Brunswick, served as the Director of Financial Management Services for the Cape Breton YMCA for three years, after being a partner at Grant Thornton in their Sydney and Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia, offices for almost 20 years.
Canada Lands Company is an arm’s length, self-financing federal Crown corporation. The company purchases federal properties at fair market value, and then improves and sells them to optimize their financial and community value. It also owns and manages select properties such as the CN Tower in Toronto.
