CLC Lights CN Tower Blue For World Water Day

March 21, 2011, Toronto, Ontario – As part of World Water Day on March 22, an initiative adopted by the UN General Assembly in 1992, the proud owner and operator of the CN Tower, Canada Lands Company CLC Limited (CLC), will light the CN Tower blue from sundown this evening, March 21, to sunrise on March 22.

This is being done to support ONE DROP Canada in its efforts to raise awareness of the importance of freshwater and advocate for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. The CN Tower’s ongoing lighting program recognizes citywide events, charitable events and causes, seasons and special holidays and, on the evening of March 21, will salute the efforts of World Water Day to raise awareness of the international need for access to safe water.
