Affordable Housing Advisory Committee Members for Shannon Park Announced
Dartmouth, N.S. - Canada Lands Company has assembled a group of ten affordable housing experts to assist it in delivering affordable housing in Dartmouth at Shannon Park as part of the Company’s commitment to enable 3,000 homes and 20% of those earmarked for permanent affordable units. As the owner of this former community for military families, Canada Lands Company believes this is an important step forward in the strategic delivery of housing.
The committee will serve as an advisory body that will meet regularly to engage in a dialogue, make recommendations on how to implement Canada Lands’ affordable housing commitments, and guide the Company in coordinating partnerships with organizations that build and/or manage affordable housing.
A call for applications opened in the spring inviting volunteers with knowledge and experience researching, designing, delivering or managing affordable housing developments to join the committee.
Committee members are:
• Adrian Mason - Province of Nova Scotia
• Adriane Salah - Affordable Housing Association of Nova Scotia
• Angela Bishop - The Housing Trust of Nova Scotia
• Anis Sobhani - Zzap Architect
