Dr. Tareq Al-Zabet brings over 30 years of distinguished international and Canadian experience in executive management, strategic planning, and governance. He currently serves as a Board Director and Chair of the Governance for Canada Lands Company, where he oversees strategic, fiscal, and operational priorities. His expertise includes housing redevelopment, land management, and optimizing real estate assets to meet affordable housing targets across major Canadian cities.

Dr. Al-Zabet has held senior leadership roles across multiple provinces, including Deputy Minister and Regional Director positions, managing multi-billion-dollar budgets and leading transformative initiatives in infrastructure, environmental protection, compliance, and public-private partnerships (P3). An agile, results-driven leader, he integrates advanced management systems, risk assessment tools, and value-for-money strategies to enhance operational efficiency and fiscal accountability.
