Tell us what you think of our plan!
The public is invited to join Canada Lands and its planning team on April 13, 2022, for a two-hour bilingual webinar and panel discussion on the proposed preferred concept to reintegrate 1495 Heron Road into the community.
At this meeting, you will have an opportunity to:
- review the preferred concept for the redevelopment of 1495 Heron Road;
- find out how community input influenced this plan;
- react and share thoughts on the concept; and
- take part in a moderated panel discussion and Q&A with the heritage, building, and landscape experts involved in this project.
For those who can’t attend the webinar, from April 14 to 29, a video of the meeting will be available on this page. There will also be the option to complete an online activity to share thoughts on the preferred concept.
In advance of the webinar on April 13, the summary report on the previous phase of engagement - where the public was asked to comment on four redevelopment options for 1495 Heron Road - has been posted and is now available for download here.
NEXT STEPS - A MASTER PLAN FOR 1495 HERON ROAD
Based on public feedback on the draft concept, Canada Lands will develop a master plan for 1495 Heron Road.
The master plan will outline how the available land will be used, what buildings will be built or removed, heritage and commemoration elements, servicing and infrastructure, as well as guidelines for architectural and landscape design, and the inclusion of public spaces and amenities for the broader community.
Stay tuned for information on the next steps in this process.
